VIERI (4) started his career in Sydney and was placed twice last spring, and then changed stables this year, trialling in Victoria before being moved on to the Chris Nash stable on this track. He has a long way to go to recoup his million-dollar-plus yearling price tag, but should be the one to beat here. MERCHANT DELIGHT (3) found some trouble in the running when finishing sixth here just over 3 weeks ago. He was in the money in both of his starts before that, and can figure in the top 3 here. ACHACHA (6) made her debut in Queensland last spring and will be making her local debut with the blinkers on for the first time. A good draw helps, and she should measure up. Each way.
